Well, about a week had gone by and it was time to turn in our reports on the students and teachers on campus. Leah, Dee, and I were waiting for the Professor and Darwina to look over each report. As the time passed one, I started to draw. My ability that makes me special is that I can take anything in a 2-D Plane and bring it into the 3-D world. It’s great, except for the fact that I suck at drawing and it takes a while to draw. Also, the object pulled out is the same size as the drawing. But, I can bring out anything living and essentially make a clone of it. It’s awesome, but it’s a slow ability, but strong.
Speaking of strong, Dee’s been working hard to master his powers. He can control weather and natural disasters. He can make the ground shake like a violent earthquake, or summon hail the size of golf balls. However, his main problem? This all happens subconsciously, mainly with his emotions. When his really angry, the weather turns violent and destructive, and when he’s depressed, it rains for the longest time, but for the most time, he keeps his emotions in check. Sadly, that also means when Dee doesn't have control, they’re extreme emotions. Usually, we can get him back in check though.
Nothing like Leah’s powers though. She is half Siren, or so she claims. Her powers are all about sound and music and she’s got complete control over them. She can control the frequency she talks and sings at, and how loud it is. She can alter her voice from a paralyzing high pitch to what is essentially a wall of solid air. It’s pretty powerful. She’s trying to work on controlling not just her sounds, but other sounds as well. Oh, and she also grows feathers. Out of her face and her arms are little feather stubs. Once a month, they grow into full feathers that can be plucked. Her feathers, however, are extremely sharp and hard, quickly cutting through anything that it comes into contact with.
Her feathers work much like Ralph’s swords. Ralph is a pretty weird kid, like, he’s that one kid who is always talking to invisible things and mumbling in the corner. He collects swords and pretty much anything sharp and can summon them whenever he wants. He’s got swords from every period that swords have been used. He has a range from medieval lances, to the Japanese katanas. He’s pretty weird; however, he’s a very good fighter. He knows where to strike to kill, stun, or paralyze. His main problem? He is very obsessive and possessive. No one had better touch his weapons, or else he’ll cut you faster than you can react.
And he’s oddly obsessed with this disk that I found. It’s about palm size and blue. It’s got three holes making an equilateral triangle and one big one in the middle. He kept trying to get it from me all week, mumbling “Give me it! I must make the Delta 3! I need the Delta 3!” the whole time. He did the same over Leah’s Odd Bone and Dee’s Tulip Ball. We found these odd trinkets during a raid on a museum one year. We have held onto them ever since, as it was our first successful robbery where we got away.
Still, there are some other strange kids here. Take Lily for example. She’s always obsessing about keeping her brother safe. I mean, she’s incredibly smart for her age of 16. She’s the same age as her brother Lars, which is understandable since they are twins. Lars is a complete muscle head, literally. I swear 90% of his body is muscle and the other 10% is everything else. However, he’s not very smart. He’s always off trying to challenge people, and as soon as he gets one, his sister quickly comes and drags him away, always complaining. She always yells “Brother! Stop! Please!!! You’ll get hurt!!!” That kid needs to learn that Lars is both brave and stupid enough to challenge whoever he wants.
Speaking of challenges, there is one chick no one would EVER dare challenge. Her name is Venom. I didn't really get any information about her other than what Lance said to me when the blind-sided me when I went to talk to her. He said that she was to always be avoided at all costs and to never, ever anger her in any way. She’s always wearing this weird goggle like thing over her eyes. I think she got laser eye surgery recently and she’s ashamed of it. But, any time I get close to her, Lance blind-sides me out of the way and starts a fight and Venom walks away.
“Hey Sketch!” shouted a voice from behind me into my ear. Again with the ear yelling, yeesh.
“Dude! Sweet….umm…..what is it? A gerbil?” said another voice from behind me.
“No, it’s clearly a…an…um….bike?” said the first voice
“No, you’re wrong, it’s a penguin!” debated the second one
“You’re both wrong, it’s a sword.” I said proudly, pointing at my horribly disfigured drawing.
“Umm….Mallory, you seeing what he is?” said the first voice
“Nope, you Ra-Raki?” asked Mallory
“Nope, you seriously need to work on your skills Sketch.” Said Ra-Raki
Now then, I would have completely beaten their faces in with my drawing, but they’d avoid it. Much like Leah, Mallory and Ra-Raki avoid conflict a lot; which makes sense because Leah is great friends with both of them. Mallory is a skilled morpher, much like Ra-Raki. However, Mallory can only turn into animals, while Ra-Raki can only turn into inanimate objects. Mallory often loves to turn into wolves and falcons. However, her animal instincts tend to get the better of her while she is an animal and has a hard time fighting her instinct and often loses. She’s turn back into a human if she’s knocked unconscious.
Unfortunately, you can’t really knock an inanimate object unconscious, which is one of the major advantages that Ra-Raki has. She can turn into anything, as long as it’s not living. She can turn into a wide array of objects, ranging from statues to computers to chairs. It’s useful when she pairs up with Mallory and helps to make mechanical animals. However, she can only pair up with Mallory right now. Even if she turns into a weapon, unless it’s Mallory, Ra-Raki can only stay in her form for about 2 minutes before reforming back into a human. It’s odd considering that Mallory and Ra-Raki are not related genetically at all.
Speaking of odd genetic things, there is Craigg. I’m not trying to put the kid down at all, but he’s physically pretty strange. I don’t know how he got his powers, but in the end, Craigg became a half-human, half-rock creature. Basically, he’s a golem. Covered in various rocks, he is pretty strong though. Leah and him are great friends, though why confuses me. His physical makeup allows him to withstand a lot of attacks while taking very little damage as well as easily dish out a world of pain. His main problem is that his has a soft inner core and is sort of a coward.
But someone who’s not a coward? I’d have to say the award would go to Static. This guy is all around exuberant and crazy…up to the point where you want to take something heavy and just hit him repeatedly. Again, and again, and again. He is really annoying because he can move pretty much lightning fast. He can also control electricity and give out small painful bursts of it. His favorite activity is to run around and zap you, then bolt off before you can do anything to him. He is painfully annoying and I just want to beat his face in.
And then, to top of the weirdness level to the max is Lucian. This guy hides in the shadows and slinks across the walls, almost never coming into bright light. Even now, as we are sitting in class, he’s in the darkest corner of the room. His hair always covers up one of his eyes and he almost always has a creepy grin on his face. I swear his teeth are sharpened. He controls shadows and can use even your own against you. I've heard that his signature move is to charge up darkness, then, once you get close, he releases a huge claw made of darkness at you, effectively stunning you for him to strike at you until you are almost dead.
“Well now class. I am glad to see that everyone knows the new kids around campus,” spoke Professor Bellram. “Now then, your next assignment?" As he spoke, he wrote up on the board, in big letters 'RULE 2: MEET YOU HERO', "I want you all to go out into the town and meet your heroes.” A small murmur rushed though the classmates
“What did he say?”
“Our Heroes?”
“I thought we were villains”
“Now then,” the Professor said again, disrupting the class, “I don’t mean those who you idolize or whatever you kids do now a days. Every great villain has a superhero that fights them at nearly every escapade; someone that the villain strives to beat. There is more joy in beating someone then just getting it. Your assignment is to figure out who your superhero is. I will see you all back in class in one week” With that, the Professor left and Darwina packed up her stuff, turned to me, gave me a little wink, and left. I almost melted in my chair.
“Well now, time to cause some mayhem. I’ll catch you guys later. Come on girls. Let’s go” Leah said, stood up, and walked out. Well, it was time for me to cause some trouble, and what a better place than the town';s art museum.

“Oh it’s such a bore here. I despise being in this cage. If only someone could release me….” Said the lone feminine voice in the darkness…then, came a wicked laughter. It echoed throughout her glass and steel cage. It bellowed and rose, piercing the darkness. “I will get out, and there is nothing you can do to stop it…not hero, nor villain…or even you, you neutral worm…And I swear to you...I will finish what I started...Darwina.
